~New Business~

Starting your own business is way more stressful than I had ever imagined that it would be, however, it is starting to become all worth it. A few months ago, one of my close friends and I decided to stop talking about our dreams and put them into motion. The end result, Merveilleux Boutique. The name confuses most people, so let me help you. Merveilleux = marvelous in French.

My partner and I did not want to do the traditional boutique thing. Instead, we bring the boutique to your home, office, church, backyard, etc. It is a fun way to shop and party with the women you are closest to!

We recently went to market and we are super excited about the things that we saw and purchased! Our preview party has been scheduled for this weekend! It will be a fun way to open our business in celebration with our closest friends and family! We have several parties booked already, but we are looking to book more for the rest of the year!

Please feel free to view our blog...but be patient with it! It is a work in progress! I plan to post pictures of our preview party on Monday!

Catching Up...

It's nearly been four months since my last post! There have been alot of things going on in my life and I felt as though I needed to cut something out of it, temporarily. This blog lost out! Now that things are starting to finally settle down, I thought that I would catch up with things.

1. Work - My office has been relocated! The Medical Staff Office of SFMC used to be located at SFMC - North Campus, however, it was very necessary for us to be located near the Downtown Campus in order to do our job more effectively! Therefore, after years of trying to relocate, it finally happened! We are now located on the second floor of the Cancer Institute, which is within walking distance to the hospital! No more driving down the devil hwy., 165! Alot of work went into our move! We had to repaint all of our offices, redecorate, and reorganize nearly everything. Here is a picture of one of the flower arrangements that I did for my office.

2. School - I am thinking about going back to school to get my Masters Degree! I know that in the long run, it would be worth it. Howerver, I am having trouble making a decision!

3. Home - I have been toying with the idea of moving to the country. My great-grandmother left her house to my grandmother and for the last three years, it has not been lived in. It is an older house, with great potential! The idea of living in the country has never appealed to me, however, alot has changed. A lot of my priorities have changed. Family has always been number one in my life, and moving would only put me closer to them. There are alot of positives involved with the move, as well as negatives. I will keep you guys posted on my decision!

4. Pictures - I have not taken many pictures over the last few months, however, I will post a few that I have shot.

Christmas Decor

Christmas with Friends

Every year, since I was in Junior High School, all of my friends and I get together to celebrate Christmas. Sometimes we get together and everyone brings something special that they have perfected in the kitchen and we will all exchange gifts, and sometimes we go out to eat and exchange gifts. However, we always take pictures! This year we decided to go out to eat at a nice restraunt and forgo the gift giving. Here are a few of the pictures! Sorry...I didn't get a chance to edit them!

Christmas Shopping

I am finished with all of my Christmas shopping. This is something I usually do not even start until a week before Christmas. I am usually one of "those" people that wait until the last minute and then I am all stressed out b/c I was so rushed! Last year I was wrapping presents ten minutes before my family was going to rip into them. However, this year, I have improved. Not only am I finished shopping, all of my presents are wrapped and sitting pretty underneath my beautiful Christmas tree! Yah me!!! So now I can just sit back, relax, and enjoy the rest of the Holidays....without all of the frantic, last minute Christmas shopping.

Here is a picture of my last shopping day! It is always better to go with friends!
